Presentation Summary:

The speaker will discuss the paradigm shift that Proposition 19 created as well as the many updates to the legislation since initial implementation. Participants will learn about how to continue implementation of Proposition 19 as well as common pitfalls that have arisen from the planning both before and after implementation. The speaker will discuss potential gaps in the law as well as discretion by the assessor to permit deviations.

Learning Objectives:

Learning how to ensure that pre-Prop 19 planning remains implemented.

Learning the changes that were made between the voter approval of Prop 19 and the legal implementation of Prop 19

Learning strategies to assist clients with avoiding unnecessary reassessments.
