You Inherit the Problem, Not the House. Navigating Beneficiary-Occupied Trust Real Property from Possession to Sale.
Program Summary
It is not uncommon for beneficiaries to occupy real property owned by a trust, leaving trustees in the difficult position of needing to recover possession before the property can be sold. This presentation brings together two practitioners to address the legal, transactional, and procedural issues that arise at every stage of that process from recovering possession of the property to navigating the trustee’s disclosure obligations in the sale.
